Ok, I rebuilt as suggested with filesystems compiled in and the
unrelated problems were solved.  I was able to build this patch
cleanly, boot the kernel, audit ipc operations and collect object
context labels.

I'll have to leave the exercise for Steve to prove the performance gain...
