From the FAQ.
# Can I use GFS to take two off-the-shelf PCs and cluster their storage?
No. GFS will only allow PCs with shared storage, such as a SAN with a
Fibre Channel switch, to work together cooperatively on the same
storage. Off-the-shelf PCs don't have shared storage.
