[Linux-cluster] Sparse files in GFS

[Krikler, Samuel]

The idea is to do it efficiently by manipulating the file system
metadata without actually writing the data.

Doing dd to TBs of space would take a very long time.

Sorry, not at this moment. It has been on the to-do list. One question
though - these spaces do not need to be zero-padded, right ?
