Patrick,
The modifications on the /etc/lvm/lvm.conf
From:

 # By default we accept every block device:
    filter = [ "a/.*/" ]
To:
    filter = [ "a/.*/", "r|/dev/sda" ]

But when re restart the machine, and run the command vgdisplay I got this
message:

[root at lock-server1 ~]# vgdisplay
  Failed to create regex device filter
[root at lock-server1 ~]# vgscan
  Failed to create regex device filter

Is the filter correct?
