[Linux-cluster] ccsd : Unable to bind to socket on rhel 5.2

Using lsof I discovered that ccsd wants to bind to TCP port 50008
(amongst others)

This port was being used by apache/MySQL, so restart apache and bingo!

I now have a working 3 node cluster.....

A lot of clever people have contributed to GFS for free and I would like
thank all who have done so...

Shaun

Subject: [Linux-cluster] ccsd : Unable to bind to socket on rhel 5.2

Hi,

I'm trying to get cman to start up on one of the nodes in a 3 node
cluster.
2 nodes are running fine, but for the last one ccsd reports:

              ccsd[24647]: Unable to bind to socket.

Cluster.conf look like this:
....
<clusternode name="brik3-gfs" votes="1" nodeid="7">
      <fence>
        <method name="single">
          <device name="brik3-rac"/>
        </method>
      </fence>
    </clusternode>
  </clusternodes>
  <fencedevices>
...
        <fencedevice name="brik3-rac" agent="fence_ilo"
hostname="10.9.255.66" login="root" passwd="xxxxx"/>
  </fencedevices>

The hostname of this system is brik3, but I want ccsd to use bond1 which
has address 172.16.1.60.

/etc/hosts contains

172.16.1.60    brik3-gfs

The directory /var/run/cluster exists with permissions 755 so root
should be able to create a socket.

Iptables is not running.

I cannot easily change the hostname which used bond0

I guess I've made a small mistake, please could someone put me right?

Thanks

Shaun
