Are you talking about the /etc/init.d/gfs script? Currently, I added this script in the startup. But should it start automatitly just like a nfs mount in the fstab?

IIRC, it only works on the clean mount. It won't work with
mount -o remount

The only other thing I can think of is that your netfs/gfs init script is
