[Linux-cluster] Faulty node detection

Hi everybody,
is there a way that i can make the cluster detect faulty nodes such as
failed san paths?
in my case i had a node which lost the connection the san completely but
it wouldn't be fenced because it behaved completely normally in every
other sense, only the i/o got stalled because of the failed paths.
can i somehow make the cluster check that?
