I know this is a old thread, but you are correct.  From what I understand,
veritas has been allowing SUN to package their VM product.  From my
experience, it has been included automatically with anything that has a
StorEdge/Enterprise array attached.  Like any vendor related relationship,
it is headed toward separation from what I hear.

I believe that the SEVM is a repackaging of the veritas volume manager,
which is a GUI that is very difficult to use when a lot of physical disks or
volumes are installed (> 30 or so).
