I will install a new IDE disk and I want to join a partition which belongs to
the new IDE disk with the partion /dev/sda5 for exemple. What I have to do
after install the IDE disk?

fdisk /dev/hda, change the partition hda# to 8e and after run pvcreate /dev/hda
or Do I have to run "pvcreate /dev/hda" and "pvcreate /dev/sda" If I run
pvcreate in /dev/sda will I lost my data?

Sorry for ask some lamme questions, but I have been reading the LVM-HOWTO and I
have some doubt.
