From bugzilla at redhat.com Thu Jun 1 05:01:57 2017 From: bugzilla at redhat.com (bugzilla at redhat.com) Date: Thu, 01 Jun 2017 05:01:57 +0000 Subject: [Lohit-devel-list] [Bug 839303] [ta_IN] Submission of glyphs for Tamil fractions/ symbols to be included in the Lohit Tamil fonts In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=839303 Shriramana Sharma changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Attachment #597580|0 |1 is obsolete| | --- Comment #17 from Shriramana Sharma --- Created attachment 1283987 --> https://bugzilla.redhat.com/attachment.cgi?id=1283987&action=edit Font with glyphs for newly accepted Tamil symbols characters With the cooperation of the Gov't of Tamil Nadu, a finalized proposal to encode these characters was submitted to Unicode: http://www.unicode.org/L2/L2017/17069-tamil-frac.pdf and accepted at the recent UTC meeting: http://www.unicode.org/L2/L2017/17103.htm#151-C18. Hopefully it will be encoded at least by 2019. The font provided by me to the Unicode/ISO 10646 editors is attached. It is based on Lohit Tamil but many new glyphs were designed totally independently. Though I'm not a great artist I've tried my best to make the glyphs look clean at least. All the glyphs have been mapped to their official newly allotted codepoints. I submit these glyphs to be part of the Lohit Tamil fonts under the OFL. Thanks to Pravin and others for their help in all this. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
