we have a new OpenSCAP release here:

NEWS:
 * migration to OVAL 5.8 was started
 * new probes and schemas from OVAL 5.8
 * OVAL clean up and refactoring
 * RHEL6 SCAP content improvements
 * progress in SOLARIS integration(make and make check work)
 * gnulib is used (better portability)
 * "analyse" mode in oscap tool
 * validation against schematron rules is supported
 * fixes 

New release of scap-workbench is coming soon too.  Please note that 
openscap-0.7.3 will be dependency for scap-workbench.[1]

Our plans for the next release:
- continue with migration to OVAL 5.8
- pass all tests under tests/mitre directory
- our roadmap is avaialble on OpenSCAP homepage [2]
