Well, I hate to be a party-pooper, but apevec points out that this may not fly.
 We are generally removing python from the host image (it's in there by accident
right now), so we won't have the interpreter around to run this script.  Luckily
the script doesn't look too complicated, so re-writing it in bash (or C) is
probably not too bad.
