FYI, in case anyone else is following this thread, but (like me) has
not paid close enough attention to chronology and IRC, here's some
clarification (thanks, Chris):

The existing bash script, ovirt-identify-node (already in the git repo)
appears to work well and has undergone some review and testing, so we'll
stick with it in the short term.  Longer term it will be rewritten in C,
so that it can interface with libvirt.
