I'm pretty sure you *do* actually need that second : or cobbler's URL
parsing breaks. Have you tried it like

cobbler image add --name=vyatta --file=nfs://nas.open.net:/mnt/nas/share/share/vyatta-livecd-vc5.0.2.iso

?

Yes I did but then libvirt tried to mount nas.open.net::/mnt/nas/share/share/ instead of nas.open.net:/mnt/nas/share/
