Right now, the version on my workstation[1] only.  The hack of turning
off nscd from livecd-creator itself wasn't working, so I didn't push it
to git :/  

Unfortunately anything like that really is just a hack -- the only
"right" thing to do is fixing nscd and prospects for that seemed grim :(
