We've re-launched the http://ovirt.org site and made a number of updates to the wiki. Additional updates will be coming over the coming days and weeks. As for the projects themselves, we're changing the focus a little for the overall oVirt project. ovirt-node * Version 2.0 will be coming in the next week or two * New newt based UI for easier configuration * Current Backlog/Roadmap: https://fedorahosted.org/ovirt/wiki/Backlog ovirt-server * There is no active development happening here at this time * If you're interested in adopting the project, please lest us know on the ovirt-devel at redhat.com mailing list The oVirt Team http://ovirt.org IRC: #ovirt on oftc.net ovirt-devel at redhat.com -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... Hi Nicholas, We're building with whatever is in the current version of Fedora (currently F15). We made an attempt to get ovirt-server working as is on F15 but due to changes in rails, we were not able to. The plan going forward is to focus solely on ovirt-node. If someone adopts the ovirt-server project, then they would need to work with members of the oVirt Node team to assist with getting the Node working with the Server. Currently ovirt-server works in F13. Fedora is a too fast-moving target : last year it was hard to keep ovirt-server up with F12 and F13, and then most developers stopped trying. What would be nice is to have ovirt running on RHEL6. Is it possible that you also maintain a RHEL6 branch of ovirt-node ? Then I could try and maintain ovirt-server there which should be much easier. The push that is coming in the next week or two for ovirt-node will include some kickstart files for building in RHEL, but they're tailored to work with RHEVM only. You're welcome to try to get ovirt-server working on RHEL-6, but an ovirt-node built on RHEL-6, at least right now, will result in RHEVH tailored for RHEVM use.
