Hi ppl, I've reached (somewhere) ppp-2.2.0g-7.tar.gz with
- guess it? - -DUSE_PAM !!!!!! Compiling with it ignores all
of /etc/passwd, /etc/pap-secrets and so on.

a little grep of PAM shows
auth.c:#ifdef USE_PAM
auth.c: * This function is needed for PAM. However, it should not be called.
auth.c:#ifdef USE_PAM
auth.c:    return PAM_CONV_ERR;
auth.c:#ifdef USE_PAM
auth.c:    if (pam_error != PAM_SUCCESS) {

couldn't PAM be setup to read user info from another
machine or what? am I closer ? this will log with wtmp or
through radius ?

Cristian, light us (only me?) with the current state of
pam-radius and what is needed to use it ! new pam-libs ? changes
on pam.conf ?

In most countries selling harmful things like drugs is punishable.
Then howcome people can sell Micro$oft software and go unpunished?
