That I would *expect* not to work.  Complete duplicate entries are
useless.  Those lines mean that any user who isn't found in your
nis maps won't be found *at all*.  When pwdb searches through
sets of databases, it ignores a line unless it finds the user
being searched for in the first item on the line.  On the first
line in which the first item has the key being searched for, any
information in the other databases on the list is coalesced.
