Unfortunately this is still not true of the importers and testers, but
the server is now automatically updated via a cron job.

For the importers and testers, the problem is the variables used in the
Ansible playbooks.  There are two solutions, with some overlap:

1) centralize the configuration in a single Ansible inventory, and run
it from the update script instead of ./scripts/deploy

2) add a new Ansible playbook and scripts/deploy option that deploys an
auto-update script.  All of the deployment playbooks probably would have
to serialize somewhere the variables that were used to create them.
