[Patternfly] Display fly-out menus on hover or click?

Yesterday I published this post regarding a proposed vertical navigation
pattern with a non-persistent secondary menu.

A question has been raised as to whether the fly-out menu described here
should operate on hover or click.  What do you think and why?  Please feel
free to comment on the above-mentioned blog post.
