If a file is placed in a subdir named i686 there is normally a good
reason for it: the content of the file cannot be used on previous
processor revisions.  Everything before i686 lacks certain instructions
which are necessary for the current code.  Support for obsolete
processors like i586 requires writing replacements for the missing
files.  If nobody else does it I'll do it sometime in the future but for
now it is much more important to support current, non-obsolete hardware.
