2.5.41 Linux kernel binary

Hi,

Arjan created some kernel binaries now, in RPM form. It's using the
standard Red Hat setup, I don't know how well this works on other
installations. You can find the usual set of RPMs at

  http://people.redhat.com/arjanv/2.5/

As Ingo mentioned, the quality of the 2.5 kernels is really quite good.
I'm running it for weeks on my heavily used test machine. Don't
install 2.5 on a machine you depend on but it should be fine for
non-essential machines. Backups still won't hurt.

We are trying to get glibc binaries out as well. To make them more
generally usable we need a few more canges, though, which are held up by
the upcoming glibc 2.3.1 release. It'll only be a few more days.
