These are no bugs.  The standard does not require returning errors if
the thread descriptors are invalid.  Garbage in - garbage out.  See the
discussions and aardvarks filings of the last, say, 6 months, and all
the discussions which led to POSIX threads.  It was never the intention
to require the implementation to catch the applications mistakes.

If you don't see this talk to Mark Brown, he was also present in the
deliberations about these issues.
