configuring Gnome to run programs on starting desktop?

I'm unable to define my startup programs (such as tkseti, licq, etc.
via the Start Here ~ Preferences. See:

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=80615

Is there another way I can congfigure Gnome to run these programs
upon login to the desktop?
