Yes! Using the "nv" driver instead of the binary "nvidia" one fixes the
slowness problem when redrawing windows! But I now have a very small
flickering on the left of my screen, and dangerously reminds me of when my
LCD screen died on this very laptop (Dell Inspiron 8000 with 1600x1200
Could someone tell me if these (suggested by the installation) are safe

        HorizSync       31.5-90.0
        VertRefresh     59.0-85.0

My cursor is still all red, and I sware it was white at one point... is the
red cursor something normal? Does anyone have the slightest idea about why
it's like this? Mike, maybe? ;-)
