Take a look at the Dell 1550. It is a 1U rackmount with slots for
three SCSI drives. My employer bought 12 of them last year. I got
five for web, mail, DNS, backups, and ftp services at the home office
in LA and the colo site in Phoenix. All have been solidly reliable.
Uptime on the Phoenix servers is approaching a year.

If you need more horsepower, check out the Dell 2550 (2.5U rackmount).
I use one for the colo site Oracle server and the DBA's tell me it
outperforms the Sun servers by about 50%. When it comes time to
upgrade the Suns I'll probably go with the Dells.
