I had the same experience, except I think I found more
files than that that is 'nicely' changed.
Did a   'find /etc -mtime -1 -print' and got a few.  True, 
other things could have changed them.  I ended up looking at each one
individually, and if it looked safe to be group/world read, I opened
them up.

PLEASE tell me this is a bug, and will be fixed........


BUT.....back to his/her problem........I think they said
127.0.0.1 localhost was not listed in /etc/hosts.
That'll most likely be a problem.
