Summary: publican 0.39 inconsistencies between F10 and RHEL https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=476101 Summary: publican 0.39 inconsistencies between F10 and RHEL Product: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 Version: 5.4 Platform: All OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: high Priority: high Component: publican AssignedTo: jfearn at redhat.com ReportedBy: sburgess at redhat.com QAContact: ecs-dev-list at redhat.com CC: mhideo at redhat.com, pmyers at redhat.com, publican-list at redhat.com Classification: Red Hat Description of problem: Inconsitencies between 0.39 publican builds on F10 and RHEL ------------------------ Susan gave us a patch for the docs for oVirt before she left for her vacation and they don't seem to be building properly in Fedora 10. I've updated to version 0.39 of publican on F10 from updates-testing and still no luck. The docs seem to build ok, but the variables are all messed up. For example, the author's name shows up as "Susan Red Hat Burgess" and the title is "oVirt Server Suite 0" But when Susan showed me the docs she had built on a RHEL5 system they looked fine: http://documentation-stage.bne.redhat.com/docs/en-US/oVirt_Server_Suite/0.95/html/Using_the_oVirt_Server_Suite_User_Interface/ So it looks like there is something broken between RHEL and Fedora publican that is causing issues. Can anyone assist with figuring this out while Susan is out on PTO? It's due to the way the style sheet layouts out the column widths. Changing the size of the font in one area without a relative change in another area means the width doesn't get adjusted in a relative fashion and the overlap occurs. Disabling the minimum font size and hitting '+' to increase the font size scales correctly. Disabling CSS scales correctly. Setting all fonts to 16pt, and disabling "allow pages to set own fonts" seems to be totally ignored. Font size looks to be about 8pt. xdpyinfo returns reasonable results 96dpi. Why does minimimum font size not apply to all areas in CSS? Seems like minimimum font size was calculated differently into the column width than it was into the font size (note extra space on right of text in sidebar). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug. Font size looks to be about 8pt. > > xdpyinfo returns reasonable results 96dpi. > > Why does minimimum font size not apply to all areas in CSS? The minimum does apply across all areas of the CSS, however only some areas in the CSS have a font size that calculates to less than 12pt and only those areas have their font size increased by setting minimum font size. This is what leads to only those parts with small font sizes having their width, margin and padding increased. > Seems like minimimum font size was calculated differently into the column width > than it was into the font size (note extra space on right of text in sidebar). When FF finds an area that has a font size less than the minimum it only increases the font size in that area. It would be nice if it had an option to increase all font sizes proportionally until the smallest font size was the minimum ... but it doesn't, so I will have to find another solution :) Cheers, Jeff. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
