I spoke to jfearn, who suggested that, as Publican 3 hasn't changed between F17 and F18, the perl module that runs libxslt or libxslt itself may be to blame. Further googling revealed that LibXSLT apparently had issues as-shipped in Fedora 18. It pretty much fixed the issues for me, though when I inspected the .spec file I noticed a few other lines (primarily around the "BuildRequires"/" Requires " section) were still being placed on the one line. I've attached a patch that adds to what you mentioned, that I believe should fix all cases where the new line is being removed (as a workaround). I wouldn't be surprised if this happened in other files as well but I haven't looked at them. Now you've hit the real issue. After the default XSL was exposed none one who asked for it supplied any policy on structure, or input on how it should be used. RefEntry is the basic input: http://www.docbook.org/tdg/en/html/refentry.html How you'd use that depends on where it is. If you supply how you want to use RefEntry and how you want to use the output we can look in to ways to support it. e.g. You might ship the man pages as appendixes in a developer guide and want them split out in to a sub package as man pages so both the CLI and general reader benefit. You might want a book stuffed full of man pages and just want them delivered as man pages. You need to have FOP [1] installed and you need to have the PATH on your machine set-up so publican can find it. You can check if your PATH is set-up properly by opening a command line and running `fop -v`. You could also try upgrading to Publican 3.0 [2] it will automatically install wkhtmltopdf for you if you leave it enabled during the install.
