Sadly they changed this recently and now offer a trial version instead, which is time limited. I write docs for the Firebird Database Project, and we use the last free version. I suspect if you search for "free Xie" then you will most likely find it. It is nearly WYSIWYG but not quite as the on screen rendering uses a local copy of DocBook XSL which is not the one that Publican uses. But it's good enough. It also allows you to access the raw XML as well, should you need to. If you can find version 5, you should be good to go. Good luck. Norm. Do you like to work with raw XML and see the code (sounds like you do)?? Or do you like to have an abstracted view and get a WYSIWYG view of your XML? If you prefer a GUI style, then I'll put a vote in for Serna Free. http://www.syntext.com/products/serna-free/ I've done video tutorials about how to use it. I had a look round and it seems that 5.3 is the last version that offered a Personal version. Every release after 5.3 seems to only offer the 30 date trial version. Cheers, Norm.
