From jfearn at redhat.com Thu Mar 6 00:47:12 2014 From: jfearn at redhat.com (Jeff Fearn) Date: Thu, 06 Mar 2014 10:47:12 +1000 Subject: [publican-list] heads-up: wkhtmltopdf update might break your stuff Message-ID: <5317C590.5070904@redhat.com> -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi all, just thought I'd point out that a new version of wkhtmltopdf has been released, and it will be a disruptive upgrade for Publican for people using wkhtmltopdf. http://wkhtmltopdf.org/ https://github.com/wkhtmltopdf/wkhtmltopdf/releases/tag/0.12.0 The new version is based on QT 4.8.5 (old version is based on 4.8.0) this includes a switch from XSLT 1.0 to XSLT 2.0. This means the templates we used to generate the PDF cover pages need to be changed in a way that probably isn't compatible with older versions of wkhtmltopdf. Hope to have this support for Publican 4.1.0, which I am currently working on. Should be baked by the end of March ... or April :) Cheers, Jeff. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1 Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://www.enigmail.net/ iQIcBAEBAgAGBQJTF8WQAAoJELVxgDMDV+jwQtcQAJnM2MczBAvJ5HWtrhBc62Oj 5xpigUD1mk5Fk6aq2KIuqzYStkSc7Lh2CnEL3BpgsyjZuHfenctiraWF493WC4ag PylM/oGo7cseq/RKA8fzsmInFElci7vfJxqNX2zQ642gkLD8wqiAyPYalSGMJp2X JLaaUtWLh0bK/oqJbpXFxjov3IHP85+vez3dUfdSTInCi+Cle2o0th9r9n8I3tZF Cgqj/Uw5wRxXEQuFsA0NEYqS3/xEYJHFj5Vhd3tkDok1mq50kzzptObcH2HJmWKS sJtMPbGmnDrLlWlkU6ZBq0zM6HPQHSUj8CCsUPFJF8MaoWS85jq2tHB7LhTT4siX wQo+irAV83kXQglos428N9fkRmII+A/aASqW6U9UvZesBBpYpG4PcRoJcxnjwbTe zOVxoGwqZulPsMoPGhMZu0gjTtFUPVftp3A7Zbd9V4Q7NCRwuAut6a/YX9xvvCDW eQKp4QHPwxfIMx0Gf6PEfifZ9iSvvr8m56L3lsjhRFSxKT2AGrlJAfBuKUkw4p7r 8fd2nrn20f0qhLRPHB2NaJHU+Mk0PiIlnKoIm1WhUwsQEM0V29aXzNrPQPYHs9JK WjlBRiV42ITjTZbSFhDt5ka6mcOlKi6CCvGWNOm2rQtc2ydX7ShE0raok+VXlsed HUELY5iXUt5oQeudLrJK =4fgn -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- From bugzilla at redhat.com Fri Mar 14 04:27:23 2014 From: bugzilla at redhat.com (bugzilla at redhat.com) Date: Fri, 14 Mar 2014 04:27:23 +0000 Subject: [publican-list] [Bug 727985] RFE: Add beta or preview watermark option In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=727985 Jeff Fearn changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Flags| |needinfo?(daobrien at redhat.c | |om) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. It's been really solid for me, and I'm very happy to be using it. That being said, I'm having some serious problems with web publishing with Publican 4, and I'm not alone. This past weekend, the Fedora Documentation Team and I tried to stand up a new server to use Publican for publishing the Fedoras documentation on the web, and even with all the smart people around the tables (both in Raleigh and in Brno, joined by a video link), none of us were able to get anywhere close to a working system. The instructions in the users guide (either doing manual installation or installing via RPMs) don't seem to work, and result in a system with missing javascript files and a number of other issues. Is there someone that can walk me through setting things up, step by step, on a RHEL 6 machine? If so, I'd be happy to write up documentation and submit patches for the users guide. -- Jared Smith -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... IIRC the two secrets are: 1: install the welcome page 2: install a book 3: update_site the three secrets are ... The 4th secret is to use "web_style: 2" in your site because "web_style: 1" is horribly borked :( Cheers, Jeff. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1 Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://www.enigmail.net/ iQIcBAEBAgAGBQJTMOV6AAoJELVxgDMDV+jw+fQP/A85NjdedfIfl4FxC/RmCU/4 NoTCqWkDzRAYhn5L5p7bwQ3gCR4D+TQvff0654GPkdmgr1InrD77B0PZDjJ62cj8 /GwDytla/StOeapzGum6eaU028Nu7fvuniDDYSbPc+c3a8LGKik+PDn6YRCi3KOT kckIaoziRlke9cqcHUfNjhMSI9sXBlt6W04+YHcNLvIGLxKfPJfbmU1QHXLBM3Y+ BFW2MuBWyKqTh/m0UwkttaSH8AcHGSIcK/gh4GV2ENHXrQ3r3owHhAuKTF/jGOkn CVhAJ95cuYMXYbNTQHcJv0gVTYLmnBCfEnNZ4LmaoFQX/V040oY3Z33DPKJUNL5S XJThi+quwXfkFsUWgEPy+ufgY5dv0bSNTFaXHqiK2HLsZZbc0b8cfVMyGU7qvKdb K1yEwYouoWFpPI+kMQz2ZTs/Trmi2k3Z1+XMoFAzo1bFaU90EPsOHNlNHkZSNbFZ opRssJVD+jmm5HLVxHFVWkkGY4vf/7jjYuGBWktdtM4TvhjElV5872ZNCiFCa65u 0sAmma0XHLfx5yXBmug1u8QkAmVu+iPYN4SHeA5PO4HMvpk7f6KH5KjD0/Up+qM6 o7gRi2KsNLJkPSXcnnZ22daLZ82XxhaqEXVZsc2eJwCX8USEQ+HiFfAFWk5rniax eSeiv3nr2Dg57uMmKDZm =297h -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
