Previously we had a vote on the proposal to change our git workflow mainly
by using cherry-picks instead of merging changes forward. This proposal,
PUP-3, can be viewed here:

https://github.com/daviddavis/pups/blob/pup3/pup-0003.md

When we had the vote though, it became clear that there was some ambiguity
around what “obvious consensus” meant so we went back and updated PUP-1
which outlines our voting process [1].

In Monday’s team meeting, we agreed to discuss PUP-3 again for a week and
then vote on it over the course of another week. Thus, this email is to
kick off the discussion prior to voting on PUP-3.

Unless anyone disagrees, we'll discuss this proposal until September 19th
and then vote on it from September 19-26. I’ll send out another email on
September 19th to kick off the voting.
