[Pulp-list] Pulp 2.8.6 server and 2.9 client

Given the 2.8.6 patch release (which fixed my errata sync issue thanks!) and the "official" latest is 2.9.0, will
Clients with 2.9.0 work with a 2.8.6 server? The default rhl-pulp.repo has:

baseurl=https://repos.fedorapeople.org/repos/pulp/pulp/stable/2/$releasever/$basearch/

Which has the 2.9 bits. A "yum upgrade" will (has) whacked my clients to 2.9 yet my server is still 2.8.6
For a short while at least.

My server's rhel-pulp.repo currently has:

baseurl=https://repos.fedorapeople.org/repos/pulp/pulp/stable/2.8/$releasever/$basearch/
