[Pulp-list] unable to authenticate with a known pulp admin userid and password

Hi All,  I have a pulp instance that i have , up until now, been using just fine .. I tried to connect and got an messgae that my auth cert had expired.. I tried to login as the known userid and password for the admin account and receive this message "The specified user does not have permission to execute the given command"
Does anyone have any suggestions?
