Yeah this is strange. That's an escape character, which is an ascii
control character, and as far as I can tell ascii control characters aren't
allowed in XML 1.0. Which is what the header of the file declares.
Thanks for the report, I will try to deal with it upstream. Potentially
multiple upstreams (Bodhi, createrepo_c)
