Basically we want to be able to retrieve information that is available via Web Services, transform the retrieved xml and display it somewhere on our CMS. I am just wondering if anyone can suggest the best way to go about doing this. I'd also like to know what external packages I might need to install to do the above We're not worried about being able to host web services at the moment, just access existing external ones. In response to Neil - probably a bit of both, I don't have any experience of utilising Web Services with Java so I guess that might be the best place to start. I've been playing with APLAWS for the past 6 months so know my way around reasonably well. I think basically I just want a starting point. Hope this makes more sense. Thanks again. Create a new authoring step to include all the Web Service related data such as server address, path, port, action, etc. Here you can even include the XML payload generated manually by hand. Provide a stylesheet which styles the results as per your requirements. Or the other option is to use Apache Axis(http://ws.apache.org/axis/index.html) to create XML payload by parsing the Form fields. This will require some additional coding. Come to think of it, it might be better to extend the Form Section Item to create the web service, because then you have the option of including it in a Form item. E.g. a postcode lookup service in a form. Which are loaded in database1, and we have created some content-items in database2. Now the task is to merge all the content-items created in database1 to existing content-items in database2. So our aim is to get all the content-items in database1 as well as database2 in a single database, database2. Is there any way we can accomplish this task. We are trying to achieve these things on cms(6.1) and aplaws(1.0.1) version. Your inputs are highly appreciated. When user A logs in i want him to see only folder A ,but when he logs in he's able to see folder B also.Even though he can't edit or publish any items in folder B ,he can still unpublish the content items in folder B. How can i set permissions to these users A & B so, that they can see only their respective folders when they login. Thanking u in advance sukesh -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
