Also, the portmapping service must be turned on.  '/etc/init.d/portmap 
start'

You can also try 'xhost +' on HostA, then 'ssh -X hostb', and finally 
run the app on HostB.

ssh -X sets up X-Forwarding to go through the ssh tunnel automagically.
