Hi Leila,
I just downloaded j2sdk-1_4_2_03-linux-i586-rpm.bin and
as my last step I need a link in Mozilla for my plugin for JAVA to be
used which has to be done manually - activated ... so as su {superuser}
I did a link
[root at mycomputer chris]# cd /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins
[root at mycomputer plugins]# ln -s
/usr/java/j2sdk1.4.2_03/jre/plugin/i386/ns610-gcc32/libjavaplugin_oji.so
and then verified if link was set which it was
[root at mycomputer plugins]# ls -l
total 136
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 72 Feb 25 17:07
libjavaplugin_oji.so ->
/usr/java/j2sdk1.4.2_03/jre/plugin/i386/ns610-gcc32/libjavaplugin_oji.so
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 129611 Sep 4 13:43 nppdf.so
However when I launch Mozilla 1.2.1 and look in Help -> Plug-in

I don't see any Plug-in to JAVA.
Where did I go wrong?
How come my Mozilla (1.2.1) Help -> Plug-in doesn't have Java activated?
