Install to USB drive?

I tried to install RedHat 9 to my USB drive, but the RedHat install 
(Anaconda?) didnt list the USB drive on the available disks.  Maybe I 
should try Fedora? 

I was hoping that GRUB would be able to boot to the USB drive.
