Well, I think that the code is fine for when it was written. It's our
collective choice to move forward with new C compilers. This is what
happens when we make choices like this. Pretty much the same thing
with DOS programs, etc.

That said I have it running on my FC2 system so I don't think there
*has* to be any magic about this. This machine is FC2 and then updated
with the PlanetCCRMA flow:

Fernando supplies gscanbus and it works here with my 1394 drive which
I was just using a few minutes ago with Muse, Ardour, Jack and
LinuxSampler

Oh, doing a port would be a really big job I think. Go with the
Planet. Much easier!
