Updating Kernel via "yum"

I have a box here running FC1 and I'd like to upgrade the kernel, i.e.
there are some minor issues with the present kernel. Up till know I have
updated kernels manually installing the packages and reconfiguring
LILO/GRUB to boot in the new kernel.

Okay, my question, Can I update the kernel automagically via yum ?? Do I
still need to perform any manual steps when updating via yum ?? Anything
specific I should watch out for ??
