USB device names. Can someone help please?

Hello,

I have the following UPS device on my FC3 system and I am trying to find 
the device name for USB devices and I am having no luck at all. There 
are no /dev/ttyUSB* devices on my system and I have hunted everywhere. 
The following is the message from /var/log/messages when I power on the 
USB (while it is NOT powering the system)

May 11 16:17:31 barney kernel: hiddev97: USB HID v1.00 Device [American 
Power Conversion Back-UPS 500 FW: 6.4.I USB FW: c1 ] on usb-0000:00:1d.3-2

As you can see the system recognises it but what the heck is its device 
name? I know it is the second on hub usb-0000:00:1d.3 and that is about 
all I know. Please help if you can.
