Thanks, I got the time synchronized.

I am installing samba on my linux system. Is there some place I need to
specify which windows machine I am connecting from in any of the config
files of samba?

Cheers../Murli

Have you tried "system-config-date"? Click on the "Network Time
Protocol" tab, click on the "Enable Network Time Protocol" box to turn
it on and select the servers you want, then click "SAVE". Remember that
your firewall must permit incoming traffic on TCP and UDP port 123.
