Hmmmm.  This is weird.  It sure looks like an incompatiblity with
a previous LVM installation.

Oh, and Mauro, we prefer bottom posting on this list (post your
responses AFTER what you're responding to).  This is the opposite of
what Outlook does.  Think of this:
