I tried connecting to my network unsecured and still no joy.  It tried the
card in an XP box and it works fine.  So I think I rule out a bad card.

guessing a time out issue with the dhcp server but that is fog-talk.
Truthfully to get my card

to work I installed everything I could find regarding the wireless. Decided
to give up and then

tried it and it worked. Kind of microsoft of me but it did not take a lot of
time and it did work.
