You must have usb-mass storage activate on your kernel.
Can you see your memory stick on /proc/bus/usb?
And cdrecord -scanbus?

I don't know exactly what usb-uchi is for, but I believe it has
something to do with recognizing usb devices

I don't know how to get a USB memory stick to work on
RHEL 2.1 and RH 9.0. Where could i be able to get some
help on these. Also what are these USB controllers
usb-uchi etc. Please explain.
