You're correct ! It was good catach.. It was not
actual IP. ifconfig had diffrent IP...thanks
Yes, both servers are on DHCP so it may have changed
upon booting...not sure.
I changed the IP addess in *hosts* file even though
the error messages changed to as follow:
[root at node1]# ssh node2
ssh: connect to address 192.168.0.72 port 22:
Connection refused
netstat -an ( after ssh from node2 to node1 )
---------------------------------------------------
root at node1]# netstat -an |grep 22
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:22 0.0.0.0:*

can you post the output from an ifconfig on both boxes
?
I think you may find that 192.168.0.71 is not actually
the IP address of
node2, the other thing you may want to try is posting
the output of
netstat -an | grep :22
when you are ssh'd from node2 to node1 (type this on
node1 after logging
in via ssh from node2)
are you using DHCP on node2 ?
