Recommendation:  pull down the rpms and cache them locally and run
up2date with the -k option to search a directory first.  You will still
need to contact RHN to determine which packages you need, but if the
file you think you need to download is in the -k path, it will be pulled
from there instead of being re-downloaded.

mysql-server is in the unsupported Extras package.  Go to RHN and
subscribe to that channel.  That's where I got mine from and it works
just fine. 

lynx was replaced with the elinks package.  This supports frames, https,
and a few other things that lynx doesn't.

Why not have 2 kickstart files on your server and have the user select
which to use?  You can also have pxe select which to install based on a
bunch of things like mac address, subnet mask, etc.
