missing nvidia.o in the latest 2.4.21-15.0.4.EL kernel

I just upgraded kernel to 2.4.21-15.0.4.EL  through up2date yesterday 
and realized that nvidia module: nvidia.o  is missing in the  following 
direcotry.

 >ls /lib/modules/2.4.21-15.0.4.EL/kernel/drivers/video/
fbcon-vga-planes.o  intel  vga16fb.o

So, I cannot use video card for this machine.   Do I have to recompile 
kernel by myself or is there another option ?
I tried to recompile nvidiea driver but failed with the error "

Unable to load the kernel module nvidia.o" 

since nvidia.o file is missing,
