billy...

i'm not sure how the linksys vpn works... but do you have iptables (or any
other security apps) running on the rh server...?

if i understand what you're doing, i was able to do essentially the same
thing by opening up a ssh port on the linksys router, and forwarding the
port to my rh box. from there, i was able to get to the rest of the machines
in my network....

using putty, i can ssh into the external ip address which then is transfered
to my internal rh box...

not sure if it helps your situation, but give more information and we'll try
to get you up/running....

Subject: Help, cant see RH server behind hardware VPN router

We have a Redhat server and multiple Windows XP PCs all attached to our
internal network. The network is also attached to the internet via a
Linksys BEFVP41 VPN router that is connected to our DSL access point.

We have a remote location that also has an internal network with multiple
Win XP PCs and it is also connected to the internet via an identical Linksys
BEFVP41 VPN router and a DSL.

We have successfully created a VPN tunnel between the two BEFVP41 routers,
and we can see and ping all of the XP PCs on both ends of the tunnel. On
the local end where the Redhat server is located, each PC can login to the
Redhat server with a putty session. But the Redhat server is totally
invisible to all of the PCs on the remote end.

What do we need to do to be able to access the Redhat server from any PC on
the remote end, with a putty session?

Thanks,
Bdavis
